Room 5 celebrated Samoan Language week with sharing stories about their culture through faith, dance, music and art. Groups presented a liturgical dance “O le alii o loʻu malamalama- The Lord is my light and salvation”, followed by a parent reading a verse from the Samoan Bible. Students also shared information about themselves in Samoan. The Art group presented their art work depicting Samoan tattoo patterns. Finally we sung the Samoan National Anthem. Thank you Mrs Smuga, Mrs Lee, Mr Asi Marsters and Room 4 for being our audience.
“It was a moment of pride and joy for me to present a dance to represent my Samoan faith, culture and identity”. Nevaeh Year 6
