Welcome - St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

Kia ora, Kia orana, Malo e leiei, Talofa Lava, Namaste, Hello and welcome to St Joseph’s School! We are a Christ centred community committed to the education and development of the whole person in a Catholic environment. If you want high achievement, values based education for your child and a Christian philosophy on life, St Joseph's is the place for you. Our school offers an education for primary school pupils (boys from Year 1 to Year 6 and girls Year 1 Year 8). We value the size of our school as we feel it enables people to know one another well. St Joseph’s is small in size with a maximum of 225 pupils, but we are mighty in spirit!

Throughout the school community there is a strong sense of family, warmth, caring and spirituality. Gospel values are at the centre of the life of our school family and our curriculum. Our commitment to the Gospel values has meant that we care for those in need. This is part of our Josephite tradition, and the St Joseph’s Sisters who first started our school in 1884. Their motto which we continue is ‘Never see a need without doing something about it'.
